A simple guide to breast bondage

Whether you are new to BDSM or already have lots of experience with this type of play, it is likely that you’ve at least thought about trying breast bondage. Tied breasts look aesthetically captivating to the beholder and bring new sensations and pleasant pain to the partner who is being restrained.

Breast bondage comes in a variety of forms. It may be as simple as binding ropes around the breasts using an easy technique or a complicated process of shibari breast bondage.

Rope breast bondage is often featured in nude photography as it looks beautiful when rough rope wraps, and emphasizes the breasts. At the same time, it can be an element of BDSM play that involves domination and submission. The partner wearing breast bondage gear will feel fragile and sensitive while being dominated. The sensations vary from increased breast and nipple sensitivity to moderate or harsh pain. Most breast bondage accessories expose the nipples that can be flogged, pinched, or slapped.

Some breast bondage practices include compression. In extreme cases, the breasts can become swollen and dark in color,  which may be ok for some people but not for others.

You can make breast bondage accessories yourself or purchase them online or in sex shops. Although there are a lot of restraints that come in different shapes, materials, and colors making breast bondage a new experience every time. Breast bondage can be a stand-alone intimate practice for one or both partners.

No matter what type of breast bondage you choose to engage in, make sure that you always have a pair of scissors nearby in case anything goes wrong.

Types of BDSM breast bondage accessories

There are different types of breast bondage restraints you can buy or create yourself. Let’s take a look at the most common types:

Bras or harnesses

Bras or harnesses for breast bondage are often made from leather, PVC, faux leather, or other materials. For instance, Anoeses sells only premium-quality leather bras and harnesses that feel incredibly luxurious and last a very long time.

These accessories can be sold as separate items, but you also can find ones that can be connected to a collar. Bras are available in a variety of shapes and types. For instance, some cover the nipples while others expose them. Harnesses may also have rings to which you can attach other bondage straps.

Binders

Binders are similar to harnesses but they don’t have straps. Instead, they fit more like a tube around the breasts. Some binders look like metal bars that can be attached along the top or bottom of the breasts and adjusted to the desired degree of tightness.

Shibari breast bondage

Shibari breast bondage is also called Japanese rope bondage. It is literally translated as “the beauty of tying tight”, so this practice is all about the aesthetics and the process of tying up a person. It involves specific breast bondage techniques for a variety of patterns. Breast shibari is best done by experienced BDSM players since it is complicated, but it is a practice your partner or you can learn after some time.

The most common material for tying up breasts using shibari is three strand jute rope. It is worth noting that shibari is a mostly painless, process-centered practice that immobilizes the body when done right.

Nipple Clamps

Nipple clamps are also considered to be breast bondage accessories. They may be a perfect way to start experimenting with tit bondage for anyone who is into nipple teasing but hasn’t tried other types of breast bondage yet. There are many types of clamps you can try. You can choose from clothespins, magnetic, clover, and tweezer pins. Some of them have chains to add weight to them or even connect them to clitoral clamps.

The clamps will pinch your nipples, bringing a little sensation of pain when the chain is moved slowly. Some people enjoy more extreme sensations that can be experienced by pulling on the chain. Even if you are a fan of light sensations, be aware that removing nipple clamps can be painful because of the blood rushing back into the nipples.

Choosing breast bondage rope material

The two materials that are most commonly used for tying up boobs are cotton and nylon.

Cotton

If you are just starting to engage in BDSM breast bondage, you may find cotton breast rope more comfortable for your skin. Cotton is quite affordable and it is a great way to start with breast bondage. It also has an advantage over nylon because it doesn’t stretch a lot and is the best choice for suspension (as soon as you become ready for it).

Nylon

Breast bondage rope made of nylon works best for compression and it can add a particular esthetic to the whole process. You can buy dyed nylon rope or color the rope yourself. It is important to choose the right width and length of the rope. The most common width to start with is 6mm. As you get more experience, opt for thinner or thicker breast bondage rope.

How to do breast bondage?

If you’ve ever wondered how to tie up breast, there are many breast bondage instructions available on the web. However, almost any simple breast bondage tutorial will instruct you to fold a rope in half to create a bight as the first step. A bight is a place where the rope is folded.

Then you can bind breasts in different ways taking care to maintain rope tension. If the rope becomes too slack, it may fall off at some point. If there’s excess rope after you’ve finished binging your partner, you can use it as an additional decorative element for breast bondage or you can just let it hang.

No matter what rope or bondage pattern you choose, there’s one safety rule you should always follow - you need to have a pair of scissors on hand at all times. This way, if anything does wrong, you can quickly cut the rope and free yourself or your partner.

Breast bondage can be a great way to diversify your intimate practices but remember to take it slow and communicate with your partner on how you want it to look and feel.
